is the Sir Julian Hodge Professor of Banking & Finance at Cardiff University. He trained at the London School of Economics, Birkbeck College London, and took his PhD at University of Liverpool. He has worked as a professional economist at the National Institute of Economic & Social Research, Bank of England, and Lombard Street Research Ltd.
